Sustainability is fundamental to St Edward’s ethos. We want to ensure the long-term health, wellbeing and prosperity of people and the planet. These are some of the initiatives we have implemented at Hartland Village.
Nature and biodiversity
creating natural habitats that encourage wildlife to flourish, translocating 2.6 acres of acid grassland, planting over 1,000 new trees, and providing new biodiverse features, including swift and bee bricks, butterfly banks and bird boxes.
Water efficiency
Homes are designed to high water efficiency standards and are fitted with dual flush WCs, and low-flow taps and showerheads.
Energy efficiency
Enhanced levels of thermal insulation and air-tightness, low energy lighting and energy efficient kitchen appliances.
Sustainable transport
Easy access to three local train stations, shuttle bus service, cycle paths and storage, and installing communal electric vehicle charging points.
Stewardship
Maintaining our communal open spaces and facilities in perpetuity is an important benefit to the whole community. We work with RMG Estates and residents to ensure the development remains in pristine condition.
Future-proof design
All homes benefit from rainwater harvesting, whilst Sustainable Urban Drainage features, such as swales and ponds, will help manage surface water runoff and minimise risk of localised flooding.

Where the homes are light-filled, adaptable and finished to very high standards. Where carefully planned public areas enhance well-being and quality of life for residents and visitors. Where people feel a sense of community.
We achieve this through
Putting our customers at the heart of everything we do -
understanding what they want and need, and applying that to all our planning and design decisions.
Offering choice and diversity -
from a city penthouse or modern studio apartment to a traditional family home, you will find the perfect fit for your lifestyle.
Quality first to last –
when you buy a new home from St Edward you can be safe in the knowledge that it is built to high standards of design and quality. All our properties come with a 10-year build warranty.
Green living –
building on brownfield sites whenever we can, protecting the natural environment, and designing homes with reduced water and energy consumption.
Committing to the future –
Taking a long-term view of how the community we create can thrive in years to come and permanently enhance the neighbourhoods in which they are located.
